Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial are still one of the main events in Oahu with more than one million tourists every year.

A visit to the Arizona Memorial is a solemn experience, even for those who were not alive when the attack occurred. You are standing over a grave site where 1177 crewmen lost their lives on December 7th, 1941. As a special tribute to the ship and her lost crew, the Memorial has been built over the remains of the great battleship.
Like everybody else who visited the Pearl Harbor memorial, I believe anyone traveling to Hawaii should refresh their memory about Pearl Harbor with a visit to this historic memorial.
Following the events of September 11, 2001, much severer security regulations have been introduced. No bags of any kind are allowed at the USS Arizona Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine Park and Battleship Missouri Memorial.
The USS Bowfin Memorial Park operates a storage container, but only for items with carry-on size or smaller. The fee is $2.00 per item. For larger baggage storage is not available and there are no alternatives in the local area for bag storage. Personal cameras without bags are allowed.

Pearl Harbor is the only naval base in the US to be designated a National Historical Landmark.

Visitor Center is open daily from 7:30am to 5pm, but the last tour starts at 3pm; entrance free of charge. The group number is printed on your ticket and unless you are the first one there at 8 am when it starts, you may expect at least up to a three-hour wait for a self-guided tour . The best time to visit is early in the morning before the tour buses arrive.
Shirt and footwear are required, swimwear is not allowed.!!!
Address:1 Arizona Memorial Place

Direction: take the #20 or #42 bus straight to the visitor center.
