The Tibesti Hotel is situated at the 23 July Lake in the citycentre of Benghazi. The huge building with the 242 rooms is a landmark in the city. The architecture with the grass waterfalls at several levels in front of the hotel makes it very interesting.

I didn't stay in the hotel. So I cannot say anything about the rooms. It is said that this state owned hotel must be one of the best hotels in Benghazi. There are several restaurants in the hotel, serving Italian and Libyan cuisine,coffeegouses and a patisserie. The ground floor has also several airline ticket offices. I suppose we went there for changing money and confirming flights.
