Another of the palaces of the zenana, or women's quarters, the Mumtaz Mahal now contains the Archaeological Museum. There are some beautiful artefacts on display here, from illustrated manuscripts, brass astrolabes from the 17th century, to porcelain and textiles. There is a gallery dedicated to Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last Mughal Emperor, which includes costumes, photographs, maps, and a letter written to Queen Victoria.
