I had the opportunity to attend a ballet matinée show of Romeo and Juliet at the David H. Koch Theater and I can highly recommend to go see the ballet if you have the chance!

The David H. Koch Theater is located in Lincoln Center and is formelly known as New York State Theater. The theater opened originally in 1964, as part of the World Fair that was held in NYC. After going through renovations, sponsored by David H. Koch, they renamed the theater in his honor. The theater has a capacity of about 2500 seats.

The day we went, the show was almost completely sold out and on the intermission between the 2 acts, soft drinks, beer, champagne, sandwiches and snacks could be enjoyed. This was the first time that I went to a theater or to see a ballet performance (that I know of) and the ballet show was excellent.

Note that it is forbidden to take pictures of the inside of the auditorium or the performance (I found out that after I had taken a picture of the big chandelier and the stage), and that the performance cannot be filmed either.
