La Maceta: "Sunday brunch" Jerez de la Frontera Restaurant Tip by unaS

There are very few places to eat on a Sunday in Jerez d.l. Frontera. Of those that are open most are for tourists and expensive. I was lucky enough to find one a place popular with the local people - I heard only Spanish being spoken around me.

There are tables outside. It is a tiny little shop front where you can see the food in a refrigerated counter behind glass. There is a stand-up food bar inside.

It had the best tapas I ate in Spain. Full meals available too at much better prices than any of the other places I tried. I had 2 tapas for Sunday brunch: a Tortilla Espanola and a Salmon Ahumado (smoked salmon). Both were served with bite size bread sticks, olives and tomato slices. Both were delicious. The tortilla was a perfect combination of potato and onion omelet.

The only draw back to this place imo is that they don't serve coffee ^00^
Had to go to the place next door for that (the tapas there were more expensive).

Favorite Dish: Tapas were Euro 2 each, 1/2 litre bottle of water 90 Euro cents.
In comparison, the place next door was charging Euro 2.40 per tapas and the place across the street wanted Euro 2.50 each.
