Somewhere along Rome's main thoroughfare Via V. Emmanuelle, on a nondescript piazza (honestly, I forgot the name!) is this gem of a restaurant. The tables were filled with locals, hardly any tourists - a very good sign, I told myself. And I was not wrong.

My starter, sautéed clams and mussels were fresh, simple and appetizing. My mains, mixed grilled seafood was triumph in its simplicity and taste. The squid was tender and grilled to perfection, so was the prawn which was sweetish and succulent in its freshness. It would have been perfection all throughout had the swordfish been fresher - tasted like it had quite a stay in the freezer. But the real treat was the dessert amaretto mousse (semifreddo all'amaretto) ice cream - the restaurant's specialty. It was creamy, light but had texture and elegant mouth-taste.
