In the Ensemble Artisanal there are carpet weavers, musical instrument makers, leather workers, wood workers and many more crafts people. The centre has government controlled prices, and although not as much a spectacle as the souks, it is well worth a visit. Tthis modern but very picturesque complex of buildings housing various craft workers is it is a more relaxing way to see what is on offer. Most of the units allow photographs, although the carpet weavers Asked for a small donation . We experienced no pressure selling. There is also an excellent snack bar which served an excellent cup of espresso, and the mint tea, according to my wife was the best she had all week. I had a crusty roll with veal and my wife had a banana crepe. The Ensemble Artisanal is only a short distance from the Jemaa el Fna or the Koutoubia Mosque.
