"small but nice" Aquarium of the Bay Tip by mindcrime
Aquarium of the Bay, San Francisco: 14 reviews and 34 photos
The Aquarium houses more than 20,000 aquatic animals in an nice but small building. We liked the sharks as always but also some small colorful fishes and the giant octopus. The highlight here is by far the jelly fishes, really beautiful. I think the place is ideal for kids, they will love to see fishes swim over them in the tunnels! And by the way you don?t have to hold your kid up to see into tanks, everything is visible from eye level. Small detail but so useful.
The aquarium is open daily except Christmas day from 9.00 to 18.00. The entrance fee is $16 ($8 for children) or free with the CityPass. Because of the small size of the aquarium (we went in and out in less than 30 minutes!) I think the ticket is very expensive. Walking through the tunnel was fascinating though.
