"Gallarus on Dingle" Ireland Off The Beaten Path Tip by tvdm

Ireland Off The Beaten Path: 311 reviews and 462 photos

Definitely not off the beaten path nowadays, but a lot of travellers do the Ring of Kerry, and seem to forget the splendours of Dingle. Whereas Dingle peninsula is just as beautiful, and less busy (but still buzzing in summer). Apart from spectacular scenery, there are many ancient remnants, like Gallarus oratory featured in the pic. Access is easy: from Killarney or Tralee it's a nice drive to Dingle town, an then you're right in the middle of everything the peninsula has to offer!
