"Inishmór" Ireland Off The Beaten Path Tip by tvdm

Ireland Off The Beaten Path: 311 reviews and 462 photos

Not quite off the beaten path, but certainly outside mass tourism, are the Arann Islands. These are three outcrops of rock off the Galway coast. People still speak Gaelic here, and the rugged landscape, dotted with ancient monuments and hidden beaches, make the islands a wonderful break away from hectic life on the mainland. Inishmór is the largest and most spectacular, but smaller Inishmaan and Inisheer get much less tourists. They're all accessible by boat or plane from or near Galway.
