  Canungra Hotel
by balhannah

Canungra, a small Village of 1000+ people and growing, is situated in a picturesque valley with the Canungra creek running by. The township of Canungra is more than 125 years old and owes its existence to early cedargetters and sawmillers. Today, new housing estates are being opened up, so it is growing!
Also located on the outskirts, is the Australian Army's Kokoda Jungle training camp, these you will go past when heading to Lamington National Park.

In town, the Hotel is beautifully kept, like an old English one, and here you can enjoy a meal before heading to the Lamington National Park and the mountain resorts of Binna Burra and O?Reilly?s.

If you want a picnic, then just across the road, near a pretty old Church, there is a nice park where Toilets and BBQ's and seating is located. There is also a good Bakery in town.
It is a very busy little town because a lot of people arrive here at lunch time.

It is located in the Gold Coast hinterland, situated 35ks from the Gold Coast, and 90ks from Brisbane.

Directions: Situated on the Beaudesert-Nerang Road, near the picturesque Canungra Creek
