The 1871 Court House Complex, was the seat of Sarawak?s government, and was used for this purpose as late as 1973. This is another nice building with local art forms to have a look at in Kuching.

The colonial-baroque Clock Tower was added in 1883 and the Charles Brooke Memorial in 1924. The complex also includes The Pavilion Building which was completed in 1909 and used for many years as the General Hospital and is now Sarawak?s Textile Museum.

The Round Tower,(1886) was planned as a fort, then used as a dispensary, and nowadays is the headquarters of the Sarawak Craft Council.

It is now the Sarawak Tourism Complex and Visitor Information Centre, easy to find and get information if needed.

Directions: Junction of Main Bazaar and Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg (faces the Waterfront)
