The street is the limit between the 6th and 7th arrondissements and is a deformation of "Saint-Pierre", the name of a local chapel that became the chapel of the Charity hospital that no longer exists. Called by several names before becoming rue des Saints-Peres in 1652. A large chunk of the street is taken up by the Faculty of Medicine, but once again sometimes you need to push a door or two to see what's hidden behind.

The plaque on the wall at no. 30 tells us that this was a protestant cemetary in the 1600's.

Rue du Bac and St. Germain-des-Pres are the nearest metro.
