A lot of the residents in Chloride are retired or semi-retired. There are also a lot of artists and antique stores. One of these is the Shady Lady's Attic. A shady lady is another name for a prostitute. Shady Ladys also had a bottle tree on the property. Bottle trees are really from the old southeast NOT the southwest and originated in Africa. For a story about bottle trees see my Plains, Georgia Page.
