Luggage and bags: A strong shopping bag or 2!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Comfy shoes! Thermals!!
A Warm coat/ scarf/ hat/ gloves - it gets quite cold, but once you've had a mulled wine, you'll be a bit warmer! Layers of thin clothing, so you don't overheat in the pubs/shops etc.
Manchester isn't a stranger to rain - so a waterproof hooded jacket. I wouldn't advise bringing an Umbrella to the markets- they can get quite crowded at times.

Jacket or trousers with zipped pockets etc- to keep money safe- Pick pockets favour crowds, especially those with distractions such as market stalls, where people will be occupied with looking at the goods on sale, and may put down purses/wallets etc.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Lip salve/moisturiser etc. Tissues -

Photo Equipment: Plenty of photo ops - Colourful stalls and characters! Especially photogenic at night.

There are plenty of photographic shops/ Argos etc to restock with SD cards/ batteries etc.

Miscellaneous: Credit cards/ cash- it's not easy to resist the goods on sale- and after a mulled wine or 2 it's even more difficult to resist! ATMs/banks around the city centre
Bubble wrap for those fragile items.
Wet wipes/ hand gel for cleaning hands before/after eating from the stalls
