"Sternwheeler Park" La Center Things to Do Tip by glabah
La Center Things to Do: 2 reviews and 10 photos
Named after the sternwheel-like paddle on the entry road to La Center, this park features a number of picnic tables (some of which are under shelters), some public art, and a fairly nice outdoor ampitheatre cut into the side of the hill. While the seating for the ampitheatre is not covered, the bandstand area is covered with a fairly nice gazebo.
The entire park sits on a hillside on the south side of downtown. There are stairs in many locations, but in other locations the walkways have been sloped so that even those who can not climb stairs can navigate the park.
The park does not at this time have public restroom facilities.
Following the trails to the bottom of the hill leads to the La Center Bottoms Trail.
