"Ramkhamhaeng National Museum" Sukhothai Things to Do Tip by Willettsworld

Sukhothai Things to Do: 126 reviews and 308 photos

Opened in 1964, this museum is a good starting point for exploring the ruins. The art objects and antiques displayed in the museum are mostly those of the Sukhothai style collected by the Department of Fine Arts in the area of the old town of Sukhothai since 1953. The exhibits displayed are inscription stones of the Sukhothai age, Sangkhalok crockery, Buddha Images of various styles, moulded Buddha images obtained from the excavations of ancient remains, idols and ancient weapons. The museum also includes a scale model of the Sukhothai site, which is useful for getting bearings before exploring.

Open: 9am-4pm. Admission: Included in the central zone ticket.
