The Swan Boutique Hotel may not have quite the pedigree as The Empress but the location is nearly as good and even better if you are a craft beer aficionado. It's first floor restaurant is a former Canadian Brewpub of the Year Winner. The hotel itself has been deemed the “Building of Flowers” due to the preponderance of baskets of them hanging from every possible inch.

Unique Qualities: Located in the heart of historic downtown Victoria in a historic 1913 building, all rooms are suites with full kitchens but a continental breakfast is included. The smallest suites start at C$ 129 off-season/ C$ 199 high season. Their penthouse suite was voted Best Intimate Space in Canada in 2005 and is considerably bigger and more expensive. Weekly and monthly rates are available for all suites.
