Sharjah city has three artificial lagoons, which make its landscape very picturesque. The first lagoon – Al Khalid is the most impressive because of its wonderful corniches with great skyscrapers and beautiful parks. Khalid Lagoon is of two square kilometers of water surface. Khalid Lagoon Corniche extends to about 5 kilometers and surrounded by a green landscape that embraces the lagoon from all sides, the surrounding walking track is used for walking and running sports.

The Corniche side has aluminum fencing and the pavement area is landscaped with grass and palm trees. The pedestrian footpaths have a number of benches. The area is a popular meeting place, and walking around one can enjoy the many unique features of the Khalid Lagoon Corniche such as:-
