Cafe India: "some Indian in the burbs" Seattle Restaurant Tip by richiecdisc

Cafe India is not a restaurant that a tourist visiting Seattle would likely frequent. It's not for a lack of quality or value but it's in a northern suburb of town where mostly locals live and play. Since we were staying with friends who do live in the area, we went to numerous places with them. It gave us an opportunity to see a bit of suburban life, spend time with them and save money. Without a doubt, it's cheaper to eat in the burbs.
Favorite Dish: Cafe India looks quite small from the outside but is ample once within. It's a very typical Indian restaurant with starched white tablecloths and overly formal waiters. We went for the lunch buffet ($7.95) and the selection and quality were both quite good, especially for the price. Buffet food can be a bit dry but generally speaking, Indian food fares well since most are sauces. That said, even the tandoori chicken weathered the buffet set up well. It's pretty tough to argue with the price. You can barely get a sandwich now for that.
