"Gooseberry Falls State Park" Duluth Off The Beaten Path Tip by acemj

Duluth Off The Beaten Path: 30 reviews and 31 photos

Gooseberry Falls State Park is known as the Gateway to the North Shore. There are plenty of trails to hike and there are three separate waterfalls (Upper and Lower Falls and the Fifth Falls). The Lower are the most impressive. I remember visiting here as a kid and loving it. Since then, I've seen more impressive falls in various parts of the world, but there's no doubt that this place is attractive and worth a hike.
