"Soda Lake Boardwalk" McKittrick Things to Do Tip by Yaqui

McKittrick Things to Do: 11 reviews and 45 photos

This was really neat and what makes this place special is the fact the disabled people can enjoy being close to the lake. The board walk is made out of recylced milk cartons, and it took 1,700 boards, 13,600 screws, 3,264 feet of support, 190 concrete piers, 7,200 pounds of concrete, and the workers walked at least 25 miles to create this board. One thing they forgot to mention is it was created out of consideration and passion. Sounds corny, but true. Thank you to those for all their hard work.
