You can read about the sheer size of these magnificent structures, you can gaze at there images while watching documentaries, you can flick through the pages of numerous books and magazines and you can surf the net to learn more about their history.

It is only when you visit the Giza Plateau, and touch the Pyramids that dominate the area, that you can actually appreciate the magnitude of these structures!

While walking around the base of the pyramids you are able to climb a few tiers of the huge blocks that rise from the desert floor. The experience allows you to appreciate the actual size of each of the 2.5 million blocks that make the pyramid, as well as the amount of work that would have gone into erecting this structure! I have seen them and stood on them?.my mind still boggles!
