I've since found out that at Number 12 Crown entry lived Robert and Daniel Read, who were to become the owners of The Belfast Morning News. Robert started the family letterpress printing establishment here around 1840. They later owned No 6 and 10 Crown Entry

They also donated money (20)to help establish the Caholic Cathedral of St Peters on the Falls Road.

In April 1936, an incident occurred, at the Criobh Ruadh Social Club at No 10 Crown Entry (a place that was now used for Irish dancing classes and billiards),which was to be known as The Crown Entry Affair - The Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) raided the building, following a tip off. Thirteen prominent IRA leaders were arrested, during an IRA court Marshall session, and were taken to Crumlin Road Jail. This was to have a devastating effect on the IRA at this tine

The prominent building in Crown Entry now is one Of Paddy Power's betting shops (Bookmakers)
