Do spend half a day or more wandering this site. It is amazing! There is so much here ---and most of it is still buried.
There are lots of archeological digs going on ----multinational in some cases.

Okay! You understand!
Now, as you enter through Hadrian's Arch, look out forthe boy who sells postcards. They're so cheap and there are no problems with them. The biy should be at school but his father died, our guide told us, leaving the boy to support his family. He will speak to you in about 15 languages!
The hippodrome is where chariot racing and some mock fighting were performed in front of 15000 spectators. You can watch chariot racing each day, I think; there are opportunities to have a go on them too ----though I didn't see this for myself.
So, I'm going to enter a few pages on this part of VT for you to enjoy.
If you find walking a little difficult then this may not be easy for you.
There are clean toilets and a restaurant/cafe on site.
Directions: About an hour north of Amman
