Mae Sai Guest House: "End of the road in Thailand" Mae Sai Hotel Tip by Tusitala

Mae Sai Hotels: 6 reviews and 8 photos

Mae Sai Guest House was the first to set up, right on the Lang River at the noerthernmost tip of Thailand on the river bordering Laos. Many imitators have sprung up along the road, but this is the A-Framed cottages right at the end of the road leading to the west from the Thai immigration check point.

Family-run atmosphere, with cottages and villas on the water and set back as well. Clean comfortable, good sized shower/bathrooms with hot water, and good mostquito netting -- what more could you ask for from 200 baht for a single to 600 for 2 person double rooms.

Restaurant does OK western style breakfast, but you'll have to walk into town (5-10 minutes) for lunch and dinner)

Unique Qualities: Lovely laid back riverside atmosphere, with Burma just 10 metres on the other side. Friendly family-run feeling, very casual.
