...take a wander down to the canal.

I was just exploring the streets around the station when I turned a corner and found the canal. Not a particularly spectacular stretch of canal admittedly and the local architecture is a bit modern for my tastes but I did notice one little traditional canalside house squeezed between a couple of modern apartment blocks. It was about at this time that I realised I only had ten minutes before my train was due to depart and had to dash.

Once again perhaps not the sort of area worth going out of your way for when visiting the city proper but pleasant enough for a stroll if out this way between trains.

Directions: From the railway station head directly ahead across the square and the canal is about a five minute walk.
