On the corner of West 3 Street and 6 Ave, across from the semi-pro basketball courts, is a supersized kids' playground (inside a public playground with other amenities like swings and seesaws) adjacent to a McDonald's. You can eat outside on park benches, and you can bring in "outside" food because, after all, it is a public space.

Address: 6 Ave & West 3 St
Directions: Greenwich Village. A, B, C, D, E and F trains (6 Ave and 8 Ave lines)
