"very nice" Cochs Pensjonat Tip by marielexoteria

We found Cochs Pensjonat via www.visitoslo.com.
The lovely pension is located in an old building behind the Royal Palace. The reception is on the second floor, where the friendly staff will welcome you. You pay on checking in, get the card keys that will open your room door, allow you to use the elevator and open all common doors in the premises. On checking out you simply return the keys and leave.
Our room on the third floor was simple: 2 beds, a table and 2 chairs, a flat screen TV, en-suite bathroom and a piece of furniture composed of a sink, a mini fridge and a mini stove.
We requested a room that didn't face the street and we got one facing the other rooms. It was very quiet at night, considering the fact that we were close to some pubs and cafes and that there was some traffic.
All Cochs Pensjonat guests get a 15% discount at Kafé Caffé, located a few meters away, when ordering their breakfast buffet: breads, salami and ham, cheese, boiled eggs, bell peppers, tomato, cucumber and coffee.
Unique Qualities: Close to the Royal Palace, Karl Johans gate and some pubs and cafes. Suitable for self caterers even tho frying food in the rooms is forbidden. With a fridge in your room, you can buy simple foods for breakfasts and lunches "to go" - which will cut down the costs in a city where pretty much everything is expensive.
Address: Parkveien 25
Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Behind the Royal Castle, in front of Litteraturhuset.
