We stayed in Holiday Inn ( Malpensa airport location). Although it was quite far from downtown, it was very convenient for several reasons: 1.when I needed to airport at 4AM it cost me 17Euro on the taxi and
2.It cost me 7 Euro on a shuttle to get to downtown (1hour and a half with the traffic) (the same story on the way back).So if you are on the budget, considering surprises with dollar jumps( I didn’t even bother to go to local banks ,I bought all cash at home) it’s perfect.
I was advised by another travelers that this hotel has a strange shuttle schedule, that’s true, but you don’t need to catch a taxi to get there, from the terminal 1, outside (if your go from the train booth) it’s to the right and strait there is airport shuttle, that can stop next to hotel (if you ask of course) and then it’s some walk on the grass, on the curb and “ola!” Hotel is in front of you. But it’s only in case if your schedule and hotel schedule do not match and you don’t want to pay 17 Euro for 5 min ride!

5Euro internet, comparatively to 10 Euro for 30 min in Rome- great bargain! a-ha
