For me, Saint Nicholas' Church is easily the most attractive and photogenic of all churches in Brasov, even if it does possess an almost Disneyesque design. It was originally built of stone back in the 13th century, but more recently was rebuilt with the much more flamboyant Baroque style, with multiple soaring spires and some excellent frescos.
The Romanian Orthodox church is a good walk outside the centre, in the traditionally Romanian Schei district. This is where the Romanians lived before the Germans allowed them inside the city walls.
Directions: Walk through Schei gate, and keep going until you reach Piata Unirii. The church is through a gate on your left.
