BRITBALTI RESTAURANT: "The authentic british style curry and balti dishes" Britbalti Tip by jambia
Britbalti, Dubai: 2 reviews and 7 photos
This is a hidden gem as we called it. They have recently opened and its a couple from the UK who are very friendly and welcoming. They explained to us the reason for opening was to cater for the masses on British expats who are here in Dubai who all miss the traditional style Indian Curry and balti from the UK. This means your common favorites on the menu.
The restaurant is accomodating about 30 people and its ambience is very cosy and warm.
The food is to die for and very filling at a very modest price. Also finally a place which sells proper mint sauce not the common milk sauce you get anywhere else. Just that in the chutney tray and those large cispy poppadoms is even to make order everything of the menu!
They import in the spices etc to make sure its as good as the UK. Even the chefs are from the UK.
Very well executed restaurant and a very good market as we were amazed you could get this food out here after trying many other Indian restaurants with no avail.
The fact you are made to feel very welcomed and they bend over backwards to make sure you are okay was a treat as many restaurant is Dubai seem to lack the service standards we are used to.
Favorite Dish: The basic chicken tikka massala is awesome as its very tasty and just like the UK. And the meat is all off the bone!! Freshly cooked and to top it off a fraction of the price of the other badly executed Indian restaurants in Dubai. Like we said a hidden Gem!!
