moton field was built in 1940 and is named after robert moton the second president of the tuskegee institute. moton field is nationally famous for being the home to the tuskegee airmen. at moton field there is a small museum about the tuskegee airmen and a park that over looks the field. for those interested in african american history moton field is worth a look when in tuskegee.
