After gorging ourselves with laksa, char kway teow, wan ton mee etc, we were too full to have dessert.... but greedy me had a bright idea - buy take-away and enjoy later in the hotel room! Eventually, we bought 2 portions of beancurd jelly (tow huay) from 1 of the stalls.
The beancurd jelly comes in 2 versions - 1 in white sugar syrup, the other in brown sugar syrup (which is uncommon in Singapore). We chose the latter and paid RM 2.40 for 2, then enjoyed them when we went back to our hotel room. The beancurd jelly was yummy and the brown sugar syrup made it taste better.
