Mezza Luna: "Outside of Southlake" Southlake Restaurant Tip by VeronicaG

Since I don't have a page on Keller, Texas I am placing this restaurant in my Southlake page. We've enjoyed dinner here many times, so its about time I added this as a tip.

Mezza Luna is one of our favorite picks because the service is always top notch and the Italian-style cuisine excellent. This intimate size restaurant offers an additional dining room for special occasions, such as birthdays or anniversary gatherings.

Another reason we love to come here is for the piano music--be sure to tip the musician because he adds so much to the atmosphere and enjoyment of dining here.

It would be unusual if I didn't order the Rigatoni alla Vodka ($16.95) because of its superb taste and the serving amount just right. When we ventured in this time, it was over the Labor Day weekend and the restaurant was featuring a glass of wine for half price ($3.00). We added a glass of pinot grigio to accompany our appetizer of Bruchette ($5.95) which came heaped with tomato bits and basil drizzled with olive oil.

Although I ordered my 'regular' entree, Jim ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with mashed potatoes ($21.95) which was a special that night and deemed delicious. For dessert we shared a generous sized cannoli, filled with a rich ricotta cream.

On our drive home we stopped at Blockbuster to select a movie--but we pronounced the dinner soooo much better than the movie!
