"The Waterfront" The Embarcadero - Tip by acemj

The Embarcadero -, San Francisco: 9 reviews and 27 photos

The Embarcadero is a great place for a stroll and from here you can get a great view of the Ferry Building, one of the few survivors from the 1906 earthquake. Incidentally, the view of the building was greatly improved as a result of the damage from the 1989 earthquake done to the freeway in front of it. After clearing the rubble, city planners decided to replace the obstructive freeway with a low tree-lined boulevard. Good idea!
