"The Great Barrier Reef" Australia Things to Do Tip by SirRichard

Though I'm not specially fond of diving, I admit the Barrier was one of the highlights of my trip. I wasn't expecting such a wonder when I took the daytrip from Port Douglas. I only did snorkeling but swimming in those waters was like floating in a huge incredible aquarium, over mountains and valleys of coloured corals, playing with thousands of different multi-coloured and multi-shaped fishes. You could stay hours just floating like dead on the surface looking down, just being witness of an unsuspected brand new world underneath.
I only regret I didn't have more days (and money, as it is painfully expensive) to do more daytrips to that new landscapes I discovered in the Reef.
