Santiago's New Mexican Grill is a small, family-run restaurant on Eubank Boulevard (don't confuse it with Sandiago's Mexican Grill at the base of the tram). It has tasty food at a reasonable price. The prices on main items are now $0.80 higher than on the web page but still ~$2.00 less than La Salita and Weck's. Santiago's serves breakfast (all day) and lunch only. The service (order at the window and they bring it to your table) is friendly and quick. Besides some pretty standard New Mexican entrees, they have unique items such as caramel iced coffee, root beer and coke floats, raspberry Italian sodas, fried chocolate sundaes for two, and "Sloppy Jims," which are open-faced burgers with taco meat, chopped onion, and red or green chile sauce. There are also daily specials. The restaurant is open Mon-Sat, 08:00 - 14:30.
Favorite Dish: Lunch: Quesadilla De Carne Plate - Deep fried quesadilla filled with cheese, beef, onion, green chile and tomato, and smothered in red or green chile ($6.75). It also comes with a sopaipilla and honey.
Breakfast: Santiago Scramble - two eggs scrambled with potatoes, cheese, onions, and charizo on top of two corn tortillas, and smothered in red or green chile ($6.75).
