Before driving through the 6,000 acres which comprise the Gettysburg Battlefield, make sure the Visitors Center and Museum is your first stop.

I would suggest watching, A New Birth of Freedom, a 22 minute film which educates visitors about the Battle of Gettysburg. Timed tickets are $8 for adults, $6.50 for kids ages 6-12. A combination ticket gives entrance to the Cyclorama (tip follows), the film mentioned above and museum.

You can book a bus tour or guide, purchase an audio CD or souvenirs (pic #3), select brochures or make time for a bite to eat at the visitors center (pic #2). Restroom facilities are available at this location, as well.

A ticket for a tour of the Eisenhower National Historic site can be purchased at the cost of $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for kids 6-12. Age 5 and under is free. We went on this tour a few years ago and liked taking a peek into the Eisenhower's life on the farm!
