"Crazy Sh*t!" Kings Cross / Potts Point / Woollomoloo Tip by Bela_LUng

My hotel was in this area when I visited Sydney and it was good/bad... depending on the night. Some nights were dead quiet. Others packed with young people out having a night out dancing and drinking.

During the day the area is nice and quiet and offers many restaurants to chose from. While at night you also get
a selection of bars that comes to life (depending on the night some clubs are closed, while others open up). A few
of the bars have dress codes so be aware that you should be prepared for lines or picky bouncers.

There are of course a few hotels with bars for chilling and late night drinking.

The Kings Cross subway station is well located and allows easy escape in and out of the area. The area also has
tones of taxi cabs around.

Police do a good job of patrolling the area, but crowds of drunk people tend to sometimes get stupid. Just be careful
and stay safe.

For those of you who have never been to a Sydney bar/club: The bouncers can be real picky assholes. I was
barred entry to a bar because I walked passed the bouncer "in an odd fashion..." ... whatever. Just be prepared
for it.

Dress Code: Depending on the bar, t-shirt and jeans are fine to needing dress shoes and suits for men and short skirts for the ladies.
