Being a university town, Bologna's streets are very alive at night. Young and energetic students are frequently seen either bar hopping or simply gathered in groups in the piazze and under the porticoes lining the streets. With Bologna and its treasured architecture gloriously illuminated by night, a stroll down the streets, or a sit-down at one of the piazze among the young students could be a rather magical experience.
