The Millennium Centre is Cardiff's newest and biggest Theatre. It was built in 2004 and has an unusual design, many of the locals thought it resembled an armadillo when it first appeared in the Bay.

It you want to take in a show while in Cardiff, this is the place to go. Visiting West End Shows like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins are on offer as are Ballet Performances and Dancing Troups. (Check website for details)

In the foyer of the Milennium Centre you will find a couple of restaurants, coffee shops and a lovely little gift shop. It's nice for a wander round in here even if you aren't going to a show.

On the exterior of the building the following words are written 'In these stones new horizens awaken' - this is written in Welsh and English, the large lettering is lit up at night and is worth a photo or two!!

Address: Cardiff Bay
Directions: Behind the Pierhead Buildings.
