I start out sceptical of chain restaurants and more so chain steakhouses. Because I can get steak better than most restaurants at home, it takes a great deal for a restaurant steak to impress me. Long Horn Steakhouse is relatively new to the Richmond area. The one nearest me opened at the Shops at White Oak in the east end. The restaurant was decorated in "early Wyoming road house" (see the 2d photo). In their defence, my first go was on a Friday night and it was busy, so that explains why our waitress wasn't always here.

Favorite Dish: I had the Outlaw Ribeye which was an 18 ounce (510 g.) steak with a light rub. It came with a salad and baked potato. The steak impressed because it was perfectly cooked (extra medium) and the rub did not overpower the meat. The baked potato was also great. My one beef with the steakhouse was that they put too much dressing on the salad, drowning the vegetables. Next time, I'll get it on the side.
