The National Gallery is pretty decent. Its free (thought they ask for a donation), as are the audiotours. I wouldn't say it is worth a whole lot of time. Maybe I'm spoiled from having been to some of the famous art museums in France and Italy, but there are a lot of other places in London that I would rather visit. If you have a lot of time its worth a look. And if you know of a couple paintings you really want to see, you can just go and find them, then leave.
