The Peekaboo Trail is actually a trail for horses and rides are available from a concessionaire but for those looking for a less busy, slightly tougher hike, this 5.5 mile loop will reward you with some great up close views of Bryce Amphitheater. The true trail head is at Bryce Point and drops 1500 feet but that was closed in the summer of 2008. It is also accessible via the either side of the Navajo Loop though it makes it a little longer.

We were on the loop a little later than I would have liked as did it as a combination. One thing I would like to do on my next visit to Bryce is to hike down the Navajo in the dark and make my way over to the Peekaboo for sunrise. I think the photos would be spectacular.

Directions: Trail head at Bryce Point is closed. Access via Navajo Loop.
