The Green Animals is a small country estate that is located in Portsmouth, RI. Considered part of the Preservation Society of Newport's holdings, the estate is basically a topiary garden and historic residence.
The main attraction is the topiary garden, where you will find a variety of animal shapes cut into the estate's shrubbery. Everything from lions to bears to elephants, not to mention the remaining menagerie.
It's a nice ride to get there and a beautiful setting to see the gardens. Do take the time to give it a look see.
