The reason for my coming here was not really the church, I admit - but rather to seek shelter from rain after a late afternoon visit to the nearby Oratorio di San Bernardino. The single-naved church is huge inside, and is barrack-like for its sparse interiors, which consist of the classic white-black marble combo so common in the medieval times. History is not so kind to this church, which has suffered numerous fires and used to be an army barracks (hence, the barrack-like atmosphere!).

All in all, I spent about two hours inside, in a rain-enforced visit. It was dark, cold, and yes, a bit scary.
