Hotel Senorial: "Great Location" Top 5 Page for this destination Querétaro Hotel Tip by JessieLang

The Hotel Señorial is in the historic district of Querétaro, only a block from Jardín Guerrero (a very nice little plaza.) It is owned by an old couple and managed by their grandson. They live nearby, and they eat all of their meals in the hotel’s restaurant. Two of the desk clerks speak some English but the other employees don’t. The waiters were very accommodating, and willing to do almost anything you wanted if they could figure out what it was.
The hotel is old (originally a military academy) and very Mexican. It is a study in contrasts: You can’t brush your teeth with the tap water, and all toilet paper has to go in the wastebasket because the plumbing can’t deal with paper—but they had wireless Internet access, and CNN on the cable TV. There was no carpet or air conditioning (we didn’t really need it) but the maid changed the sheets every day.
Unique Qualities: It has enclosed, secure parking.
I like the feel of a local hotel. When you wake up in one, you know what country you are in.
