"Parque La Alameda" Quito Things to Do Tip by Kindra

Quito Things to Do: 454 reviews and 1,200 photos

This is a cute little park that is worthwhile to visit on a sunny day. Do avoid any and all parks at night just for safety reasons. The park is colourful and peaceful and boasts not only an astrology observatory but also a cute little canal where you can rent pedalos or rowboats and take them on a spin. It was $3 for 30 minutes I think. Quite fun and you can join in with the other Quiteno families and couples!

It took a while for us to get a handle on how to drive and steer those pedalos but it was so much fun once I figured it out (so prepared to get a lil wet - there are water fountains you run into)

Directions: Get off at ecovia stops BELEN or SIMON BOLIVAR or at trole stop ALAMEDA.
