Le Meridien Pyramids: "5 Star Hotel, 2 Pyramid View" Egypt Hotel Tip by Tisiphonie

Le Meridien Pyramids is one of those hotels that you stay at because it is a part of your greater tour package. Our arrival and check-in was effortlessly handled by our tour company, Cox & Kings, and Le Meridien staff. The bed was pharaoh-sized, a television happily blared out Egyptian music video no matter where I was (there is a speaker in the bathroom so you can listen as you shower), and there was more than enough room for our luggage. Unfortunately the hotel was under construction, so part of the pool was closed off (but not enough to not have us enjoy a swim). This hotel is also close to Felfala Restaurant, a charming sit-down and take-away place within two minutes walk. Hotel staff ensured guests' safety, and a sniffer dog was employed each time our van ambled towards the front door. There are several restaurants on site, though we chose to eat somewhere else. But be forewarned, though you can view the Pyramids from the vista point near the pool, not all rooms have Pyramid viewing (ours did not).
Unique Qualities: Wonderful breakfast buffet including a variety of Western and Oriental cuisines. Large swimming pool with bar in the center. Vista of the pyramids.
